Diary of a vintage shop owner - The Quest for the Perfect Scarf Ring

I woke up at 7 AM today, still exhausted from a 13-hour workday on Thursday. But I had no choice—I had to be up and out by 8. One of my clients asked me to find a special gift for her grandmother’s birthday: a vintage scarf ring.

So off I went to the flea market at la Place du Jeu de Balle, one of my favorite spots for hidden gems.

It reminded me of this moment back in 2019—when I first stumbled upon a scarf ring. I had no idea what it was at the time and genuinely thought it was a fancy bill holder (yes, I’m crying). Someone kindly explained its real purpose, and since then, I’ve been obsessed.

Fast forward to today, and wow—it was so much harder to find than I expected. I managed to score two, but honestly, if I had known how rare they’d become, I would’ve grabbed every single one I saw back then.
